Professional Biography of Ronald Zack
BACKGROUND:
Ronald Zack received an AAS in Nursing from Sauk Valley College in Dixon, Illinois in 1976; a Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health and English from Siena Heights College in Adrian Michigan; a Master’s degree in Linguistics from Wayne State University and a Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law in 2003. His Tucson Arizona law practice is focused on estate planning and elder law.
Married over 30 years, Ron and his wife, Linda, have four daughters and three cats.
EXPERIENCE:
Ron had worked as a Registered Nurse for over 20 years before attending law school. He spent many years working in intensive care, emergency rooms and psychiatric hospitals in Chicago, Detroit and on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. He has been certified in Nursing Administration and Emergency Nursing. For the past several years, he has been involved in hospice and is currently a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse.
While maintaining his nursing career, Ron also taught high school English in the Detroit Public Schools in the late 1980’s and taught as an adjunct instructor at the Navajo Community College (now Dine College) in Shiprock, NM. He also taught nursing in California while attending law school, and he is currently an adjunct instructor at Pima Community College where he has taught courses ranging from Conflict Resolution and Business Law to Fundamentals of Caregiving.
In the early to mid-1990’s, Ron worked as a real estate agent and broker and achieved standing among the top 26 agents at Long Realty in Tucson, out of over 400 agents at the time. Ron also owned an insurance agency from 1995-2000, selling life, health and disability insurance, as well as property and casualty insurance products. It was after the sale of that agency that he decided to attend law school.
As an attorney, Ron has worked in the areas of insurance defense, as a prosecutor and Assistant Attorney General. In 2008, he formed an independent law practice to pursue his longtime goal of serving the community as an estate planning and elder law attorney. Ron brings his years of varied experiences in nursing, education, real estate, insurance and law to culminate in a premier law practice dealing with the unique and complex issues of estate planning and elder law.
